To the family I’m so sorry
for your loss. I was never afforded the opportunity to meet Dallas in person but
spoke several times on the phone. What a true gentlemen he was. Lyndon &

Tera, So sorry to hear
about your loss. I came out to buy a windshield from him and ended up with rear
bumpers as well, he was just so giving and cool. He will be missed... Paulie

Tera, I am so sorry to hear
about Dallas. I remember when he won the overall AutoFair "Best In Show" awards
at Charlotte a few years ago. He called me on the phone and was as happy as a
little kid in a candy store. I thought he was pulling my leg at first but then I
realized that he really did win! That not only made him proud to be an Opel
owner but it made me and many others proud to be an Opel owner and Dallas'
friend. Dallas will be missed terribly...

Dallas, Tera and family: I
am still in total shock with the news I received yesterday of the passing of
Dallas. My prayers go out to Tera, the children and the extended families. Know
that Dallas was and still is a respected member of our Opel family. To me,
Dallas was an Opel member who enjoyed sharing his vision and listening to the
ideas of others. I will always the origin of "It's OK" because it is what it is.

Dallas; You will be missed.
I never met you, but I feel like I know you through the Opel community. We have
a horse named Dallas at our local stable. Everytime I look at her, I always
think of the time we had together in the Opel community.

Dallas had a wonderful
personality and outlook on life. Met him on numerous occasions for our common
interest in cars. I hoped to see him at every meet but understood that health
problems prevented him at times. Dallas' GT is the standard of excellence for
Opel modification. Everything that he did to that car is what everyone want to
do to their GT.

Dallas, Dallas,
Dallas...what can I say that hasn't already been said. I am blessed to have had
you as a friend. We had a good time when you were my VP in the car club, and you
were a hard sell to talk into taking the President's slot! But you stepped up to
the challenge, and were one of the best club presidents we ever had. I will
really miss your smile and great stories. Tera and family, you have Lynn and my
deepest sympathies. I'll repeat what we told you earlier...we don't live far,
and want to help you in any way we can. Please call on us at any time.

Tera, I wish I could say
the words to make this pain go away- unfortunately there are none. So I offer
just these: Dallas was a generous, loving person. He loved his family so much.
He was not only my cousin, he was my friend. He helped us so much when Devyn was
in the hospital- I still remember the 1 am phone call I made to him, he was so
understanding and supportive. He was a great listener! Up until 2 weeks ago, he
still kept in contact to check up on Devyn. I’m so glad I got several hugs from
him at Ali's party! I will hold on to those forever! We love you all and are
praying for everyone during this difficult time.~~~~ Sweet Brendan, I see your
dad in you so much! What a strong young man you are! We love you so much, please
keep your chin up give your mom and sister a big hug for us!

The memories and laughs
which we shared are more than enough for anyone’s lifetime. There is no other,
was no other, and will ever be another person like DALLAS. I grew up with him
nearly as a brother, and those memories will always remain my fondest. I am
still on the owe side to him for things he always found time to do for me and my
family. And I look forward to the day in meeting him and making good on payment.
Although I hurt now, I know with all my heart, living by his words will get us
by. "It's Ok" .......and yes he was one of the few that always called me "Punky",
and that I will miss.....

Home At Last! Tara-I am so
saddened by this news. I cannot imagine your pain in losing a cherished partner,
friend and husband. Dallas was a wonderful human-so filled with goodness,
imagination and talent. Ron and I loved working with him on his ads and car
segments. He was a delightfully energetic man with a sense of fun that amused
and entertained us. We thank God that we were allowed to be a part of his life
in a small way. He was a unique and wonderful man. Patty and Ron Gironda

Thanks for believing in us
Dallas. You always went above and beyond to help us out. We were especially
honored to do work on the "opal" and ratts el camino as we knew how special they
were to you. Thank you and your family at home and work for being a part of our
lives. We'll miss the doughnuts.

I only got to meet Dallas
once on the set of "Our Child is Missing." We talked about restoring my old car,
and he gave me some tips of what I could do. For that I was extremely grateful.
He gave me a business card... wish I would have had the chance to get to know
him more. My heart and prayers go out to the family and friends. God bless.

Dallas, I already miss you
so much!! This web site proves that your legacy will live on forever. I however
have some very cherished memories of the early years that will forever be etched
in my mind. You made lasting impressions on the 1989 class of R.C.H.S. Myself
and other members of our class could probably have our own tab on the web page
of many interesting stories. Tera, I am so sorry that I did not post this for
him to see, just know that it was not because he wasn't always in my thoughts
because he was! Dallas (KING) Mize will be missed greatly!!!

Tera and family, What a
testimony Dallas has left with this blog. I have been encouraged in so many ways
by his words, and the Lord Jesus will continue to use his words to minister to
others during this terrible tragedy. Your family is an inspiration, and you have
touched so many lives. I wish I were there to help you all in some way. Please
know that my heart and prayers are with you. Much Love, Ryan McLaughlin

To the family of Dallas,
How blessed we all were to have know such a wonderful and happy person. I bought
my Tahoe from you and from then on you became my friend. When you came to the
shop, from the squealing of tires and smoke and your laughter, that’s all one
could see. You always made it a point to come and speak to me and Slammer and
give us encouraging words about his motorcycle wreck, yall compared pain notes
and what all that could be done. I pray for peace and blessing to come to your
family, you will always be with us, for you touched so many lives. It was an
honor to have known and loved you.

Words could not describe how u left a lasting impression on all of our lives in
such a little time that we knew u. I can just see u know pulling in the parking
lot looking over to see if we were watching, give a huge smile and then squeal
tires all the way up the hill and do a few doughnuts and come back down. U were
a heck of a great man! We all love u and will greatly miss u. May God be with ur
family during this time. u all r in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Slammer,
