Making Pens

I started making pens in November 2005. I saw a show on DIY then about a year later I saw it again. Both times I was very interested in it. I had never seen or heard of anyone making pens. I spent about a week on-line and then just broke down and bought all the stuff I needed. I spent several days alone with my lathe and scrap wood just learning the tools. Then I made my first pen. I wanted to give it to Ratt and I had him in mind when I made it.I have made several to date and have learned a few tricks and techniques along the way. I made a few at Christmas 2005 and gave them as gifts.
